"Test the Truth"
Matthew 24:24, "For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect."
1 John 4:1-4, " Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, 3but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world. 4You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world."

Team, we have a responsibility to test the truth. Testing the Truth is not Testing God! Testing the truth is to evaluate what you hear and read to see if it is true. But how are we to TEST the Truth? By Comparing what we read and hear to the Writings of the True Prophets. 1 John is saying that if there are False prophets there are also True Prophets – like him. Today, we now have the writings of the True Prophets/teachers of God through the Bible. 
Part of being a Christian is not just what you believe, but also what you don't believe. Acts 17:11, "Now the Bereans were of more noble character than the Thessalonica. For they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true."Let us do the same, Test the Truth.  #dotchurch  #pastorgrant
